Dear Pavel:

You are most welcome to reprint the abstracts of earlier published articles from Otology & Neurotology and summaries of the content as long as citation to the original publication in O&N is provided. It is understood that this is done for entirely academic (non-commercial) purposes. It is not allowable, under international copyright law, to reprint entire articles - only abstracts and newly written commentary.

Again, congratulations on your excellent work on Pro Otology!

Best wishes,

RK Jackler

Dear Prof. Jackler,

I received a letter from Prof. Ugo Fisch and with a reprint "Malleostapedotomy in Revision Surgery for Otosclerosis" from Otology@Neurotology vol. 22, N6, November 2001.

He has idea to cerate a new section summaries of recent articles with new information in our Balkan Journal of Otology and Neuro-Otology "Pro Otology":

..."I congratulate you for the successful effort in creating a new, important journal. I will support you as much as I can. It will be difficult, however, to send you and original article in short. May beyou could create a section in which you report sum

maries of recent articles with new information. Enclosed you will find an article of mine regarding "Malleo-Stapedotomy". I do not think that the microanatomy of the anterior malleal ligament was investigated previously from the clinical point of view. I

t is possible that a summery of this article may be of interest to your readers"... Prof. U. Fish

I would like to kindly ask you for a permission to create this section and to include some parts (Figures, tables) of his article "Malleostapedotomy in Revision Surgery for Otosclerosis" in our Balkan journal of otology and neuro-otology "Pro Otology" Th

ese new section summaries of recent articles will be interesting for our colleagues of our region - this is good advertisement of your important journal Otology@Neurotology.

I wait for your positive answer to start this section in new journal "Pro Otology" this week

We hope of our future collaboration.

Sincerely:

P. Dimov, MD
