In the past years there has been increasing demand for instructional courses involving basic and specialized aspects of ENT practice.

In response to this interest the European Academy of Otology and Neuro-Otology (EAONO) has decided to organize every two years a workshop dedicated to this purpose. The first workshop will take place from October 27 to October 30, 2002 in Nice, France.

Internationally renown experts have been asked to present selected surgical and medical topics relating to daily otologic practice in 90 teaching sessions of one hour duration. The Instructional courses will take place to limited audiences in 10 separate rooms during the first three days of the meeting. Controversial and innovative issues will be discussed in six round tables.

The last day is dedicated to video transmitted surgical demonstrations performed in the anatomy laboratory. The format of the workshop is designed to bring up-to-date the therapeutic skills of the participants through direct exposure to the "best methods" of dally clinical practice.

The venue of the workshop is the Palais des Congres Acropolis, a modern convention centre located in the heart of Nice, the beautiful capital of the Cote d'Azur.

A large exhibition area, in which coffee and lunches are served, will offer a display of the most advanced technological and pharmaceutical developments in the fields of Otology and Neuro-Otology.

The team of the Acropolis will be pleased to assist you in the organizing your trip and stay in their fascinating city and to provide help for visiting its beautiful surroundings.

On behalf of the organizing committee we look forward to have you participating in a unique learning experience and to welcome you in Nice October 2002.
